Calendar Events Not Showing On Android

I want to show a calendar with events using different colors on the date similar to default calendar application.

My problem specifically is that while my google calendar s us holidays work on the google calendar itself looking at it on my computer only some of those holidays the least important ones like columbus day are showing up while others the most important ones like thanksgiving and christmas are not.
